00PM Summary/Objective The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations human resource and finance department.

Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Provides clerical support to the HR and Finance department.
May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
Assists with new hire orientation as needed.
Assists employees with technical support issues including cell phone issues, printer issues, Google suite.
Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
Maintain cleanliness and supplies of office/employee breakroom.
Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately Performs other duties as assigned by HR Director, CFO, and/or CEO Work Environment & Physical Demands This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This is a largely sedentary role; however, filing is required.
This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Occasional travel required to BCL sites and vendors using personal vehicle (mileage is reimbursed).
Required Education and Experience Must be at least 18 years of age and have a current, valid, US driver's license Must be able to successfully pass a CORI check, and a Driving Record Check.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Associate's or bachelor's degree in related field preferred Salary:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
