Summary:
The Quality Improvement Specialist I is responsible for the overall quality of Epec's products in all five zones of the assembly production floor.
They will work directly with the assembly team to ensure conforming processes and product to meet customer satisfaction.
This position will be the main liaison between assembly and quality.
This role will be responsible for monitoring production processes, documentation, proper product identification, and control pf product handling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Support Quality Control Manager and QC Technician as requested (screening parts, helping with rework).
Participate in and lead continuous improvement action teams Perform in process inspection for optimized accuracy for optimized accuracy in Battery and Sub Assembly area.
Monitor Standard Operating Procedures to ensure quality & efficiency Follows the manufacturing policies, procedures, work instructions, and specifications Responsible in addressing product non-conformances, performing segregation and containment where required.
Assist with root cause analysis on non-conformed products Address and direct all internal production non-conformances.
Conduct internal audits as required.
Liaison between Assembly and Quality Team Become a Certified Trainer to IPC-610 and/or IPC-600 Create Job Aides for Assemblers in the Battery and Sub Assembly areas Observe safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guideline; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Associates Degree desirable 0-2 years related experience General computer knowledge including MS 365 Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Shop math skills Entry level or basic skills ISO 9001 auditor skills desirable COMPETENCIES:
