JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities:
Focus on individual classrooms and support teachers and students in implementing and practicing behavior management strategies and following the Child Guidance Policy.
Collaborate with the Education and Training Supervisor and Education and Training Coordinator team to develop structures and approaches that will enable students with challenging behaviors to successfully achieve learning and development objectives.
Identify external resources to provide additional intervention and support as needed.
Work with Education and Training Coordinators and Classroom Teachers to implement student behaviors management plans.
Spend time in classrooms with teachers and students to implement behavior management plans.
Coach classroom teachers on the practice of Pyramid Model and provide ongoing guidance and support, as needed.
Role model effective classroom engagement practices and behavior management strategies.
Perform child observations and behavior assessments with the Education and Training Coordinator, provide feedback regarding behavior and progress to teachers, families, and other support staff.
Attend classroom, team and IFSP and IEP meetings to coordinate and implement behavior interventions and management plans.
Provide feedback regarding child behavior to teachers, families, and other support staff.
Guide and encourage families through the process of referrals to outside services as needed.
Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
Requirements:
Associates/Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
EEC Certified.
Experience with creating and implementing behavioral interventions.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
