Clinician

OverviewThe Clinician develops and facilitates individual, couple, family and group counseling therapy under the direction of their supervisor.
The duties of the Clinician are to maintain client records, monitor the implementation of treatment plans, attend ongoing trainings, complete assessments, and provide case management.
ResponsibilitiesRESPONSIBILITIES/OBJECTIVES:
Investigate case situations and present information to members of the multidisciplinary team on client's family and social background pertinent to diagnosis and treatment.
Provide ongoing counseling to clients.
Maintain clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, the requirements of various payer sources, and company policies.
Develop appropriate treatment plans with clients, follow them, and update them as required by regulation, payer source requirements, and client need.
Help clients respond constructively to treatment and assist in adjustment leading to and following discharge.
Work directly in treatment relationship with patients, individually or in groups, in consultation with the Psychiatrist/Medical staff.
Coordinate care with other treatment providers and makes appropriate referrals.
Provide clients with appropriate education, including education on their rights as clients, confidentiality, program policies, HIV/AIDS, nutrition and other issues, as applicable.
Attend weekly staff meetings as they occur during regularly scheduled work hours.
Attend individual supervision, minimally once per month or as required by license or requested by supervisor.
Attend mandatory trainings.
Complete progress notes within 48 hours or service.
Collaborate with Administrative staff to ensure scheduled appointments are in the appointment system prior to service.
Utilize HER to ensure service is billable (authorizations in place, eligible providers, multiple services in one day, collection of co-pays).
Maintain revenue target by providing billable services a minimum of 62.
5% of work hours.
Maintain appropriate client contact and outreach.
All other duties assigned by the supervisor, his/her superior, or the designee of either party.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Complete and maintain all required trainngs, certifications, and licensures.
Safeguards sensitive and confidential data.
Actively promotes and positively role models philosophy, mission, and core values of the organization.
Treats persons served, co-workers, associates, guests and other stakeholders in a respectful and dignified manner.
Responds effectively to potential safety hazards and emergencies.
Maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment by being respectful of property and equipment.
Follows proper maintenance and safety protocols.
Be familiar with and actively promote all Seven Hills' policies and procedures, the site's program specific policies and procedures and the regulations governing the program.
Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsPhysical demands:
Sitting, pushing, pulling, carrying, grasping, speaking, listening, stooping, crouching, bending, standing, twisting, walking.
May be required to lift up to 10-15 lbs.
on occasion.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
