SEMCOA operates four emergency assistance family shelters that provide supportive services to families and assist them with securing permanent housing.
SEMCOA also provides residential recovery home treatment to individuals with substance use disorders, as well as transitional and permanent housing stability and support programs.
Our portfolio also includes two graduate sober houses, the Family Preservation Program, as well as Greater Brockton and Greater Attleboro Taunton Healthy Families programs.
Clinician Requirements:
Must present as courteous and professional at all times; Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks; Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion; Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPAO Electronic Health Record (EHR); Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner; An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self- help programs; Understand and maintain therapeutic boundaries; Reinforce rules in a respectful manner; Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder and HIPAA Regulations; TB/Flu and Covid19 Assessment; Certification in the HPAO approved de-escalation program; CPR Certification; Successful completion of all trainings upon hire and annually as required.
Substance Use Clinician Duties & ResponsibilitiesClinician 3 Compliance with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations; Participate in Treatment Team Meetings; Provide direct care to patients.
This care will include, but not limited to, individual counseling, group facilitation, lectures, orientation for new patients, discharge and aftercare planning and case management of patients assigned; Linking patients with aftercare services prior to discharge and aiding the patient and his/her family access outpatient care when appropriate; Maintenance of each assigned patient's care record.
All records are to be professional, complete and thorough with legible entries made in a timely manner; Attendance at all unit and facility meetings and case conferences as determined by the Clinical Director; Attendance at all mandatory trainings and meetings; Seeking out and participating in continued education in the field of substance abuse disorders and related courses; Contacting the insurance company for authorization, as needed; Utilizing walkie-talkie as campus responder; Utilizing standard precautions at all times; Demonstrating behaviors that recognize the rights of the patients as defined by the patient rights documents; Substance Use Clinician QualificationsClinician 3 - Minimum of a High School degree or equivalent GED and a minimum of (1) year supervised counseling experience in substance abuse treatment or closely related field.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
